Located on the Caribbean coast, about 34 kilometers from Santa Marta, Tayrona Park is famous for its paradisiacal beaches, lush jungles, diverse wildlife, and the cultural heritage of the ancient Tayrona civilization.
Cabo San Juan is one of the park’s most iconic beaches, known for its stunning scenery—crystal-clear waters, white sand, massive rock formations, and surrounding tropical forest.
This tour is a perfect opportunity to explore this spectacular natural destination—ideal for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
Travel Itinerary
Day 1
Santa Marta – Cabo San Juan – Santa Marta
Your adventure begins at your place of accommodation, where we will pick you up at the agreed time. We’ll head northeast along the Caribbean trunk highway toward the Palomino area.
After approximately 45 minutes of driving, we’ll arrive at the second entrance to Tayrona Park, located between the Caribbean Sea and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
From there, we’ll begin our trek through the tropical rainforest. For about 2 hours, we’ll hike among towering trees (over 25 meters tall) and discover some of the many species that make up the park’s rich ecosystem. It’s very likely you’ll encounter animals like monkeys and macaws along the trail.
After 40 minutes of hiking, we’ll reach Arrecifes Beach, known for its giant rock formations. Swimming is not allowed here due to dangerous currents, and access is restricted to protect nesting sea turtles—visitors must stay at least 10 meters from the shoreline.
About 10 minutes ahead, we’ll reach Arenilla Beach, a small beach with turquoise waters where we can take a refreshing swim under the Caribbean sun. Afterward, we continue hiking for 15 more minutes to reach the Natural Pool, a calm, crystal-clear beach perfect for connecting with nature and relaxing in a peaceful setting.
The final stretch is a 20-minute walk to the Cabo San Juan viewpoint, where you’ll be amazed by a truly breathtaking natural scene—the sea merges with the highest coastal mountain range in the world: the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. At Cabo San Juan, you’ll find services such as a restaurant, public restrooms, hammock or camping accommodations.
After a full day of adventure and nature, we’ll return to Santa Marta by boat.

Reservation & Cancellation Policy
Reservation Policy:
To confirm your booking, a 30% deposit of the total tour cost is required.
Advance Booking:
Reservations must be made at least one day before the tour starts. Same-day bookings are subject to availability and logistical feasibility.
Tour Check-in:
Once you arrive at the hotel, please pay the remaining balance to avoid delays or complications with the tour.
Cancellation or Modification Policy:
Cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance will only incur administrative and banking fees.
Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will be charged 30% of the total cost or the equivalent of the deposit paid.
No-shows without notice will not receive a refund for the deposit or full payment.
Date changes or modifications must be requested at least 72 hours in advance and are subject to availability and possible additional charges.
Refunds will be processed within [specify number of days] business days after receiving the cancellation request, minus any applicable fees.
The tour may be canceled due to extreme weather or unexpected events that could compromise participant safety. These situations are beyond our control.
